Tecnoma’s first forward-control sprayer

Sprayer manufacturer Tecnoma has announced it will be launching its first self-propelled machine with front-mounted cab for the 2012 spraying season.

The FC Laser  will have Tier 3 B engines from Deutz, which will deliver 180hp in the 3200-litre machine and 217hp in the 4200- and 5200-litre models respectfully. There will also be an option to upgrade power to 245hp.

A panoramic cab from Claas will be mounted up-front, which will lower to the ground when parked for ease of exit and entry.
The FC’s hydrostatic drive will have three speed ranges of 0-15, 0-22 and 0-40km/h which can be changed on the move. These will be controlled by the multifunction joystick or foot pedal.

Wheel track will be manually adjustable from 1.80- to 2.25m, but customers will have to pay extra for hydraulic units. Ground clearance will be 1.1m and it will come with four wheel steer, crab steer and hill side compensation modes as standard.

Buyers will be able to opt for steel or aluminium booms ranging from 32- to 42m. All booms will have stainless steel spray lines, hydraulic damping and an anti-yaw system built into the back frame.

The FC Laser will use the firm’s NOVATEC spray controller, but an ISOBUS and GPS controller will be offered as an upgrade.
