Farmers and contractors in the UK could soon have another option when it comes to choosing a telescopic loader.

Japanese manufacturer Komatsu has launched a range of telehandlers which are currently only available for the construction market, but plans to introduce an agricultural spec machine are in place.

 The range will incorporate six machines, all of which share the same engine, although power ranges from 80hp to 99hp across the six models. The WH609 has a 9m lift height with a 3.5t capacity, while the range topping WH716 has a 16m lift at 4t. Komatsu is understood to be planning to introduce the loaders to the UK during 2005, where the machines are to be distributed through existing Komatsu construction dealers.
