Tractor of the Year heads Massey Ferguson Cereals offering

Cereals exhibitor 2009

Massey Ferguson’s 8600 Series of award-winning tractors is making its UK working debut at the Cereals event.

A 370hp MF 8690, claimed by the maker to be one of most powerful and technically advanced conventional, four-wheel drive tractors in the world, will be on show alongside tractors from the 5400, 6400 and 7400 Series.

Standard 8600 versions are powered by the Stage 3/Tier 3 Agco Sisu Power 8.4-litre engines, equipped with common rail, four valves/cylinder and electronic engine management control. These models feature new four-point OptiRide cab suspension, Datatronic 4 control centre display (including video input and Isobus compatibility) and new Dyna-VT transmission with Dyna-TM control.

MF 8600 Excellence models are equipped with Agco Sisu Power Citius e3, SCR engines. These combine at least a 5% saving in fuel and the cleanest exhaust emissions, with significantly reduced NOx and particulate matter (PM) levels, says MF.

Massey Ferguson staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the new Agco Service Calculator tool. The Service Calculator enables a dealer to “build” the specification a prospective purchaser requires and tailor the package and costs to suit their needs.

The manager extended warranty plan covers all main components including the engine, transmission, hydraulics, PTO, axles, steering, brakes, electronics, cab and controls. Regular preventative servicing and maintenance by Massey Ferguson trained technicians can also be included, ensuring the investment always works at peak performance.
