£40m plan for Ingliston
THE Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) unveiled a £40 million plan to make Ingliston showground one of the leading centres in Europe.
The society aims to spend £8.25 million on an exhibition hall, which would double up as a cattle hall during the Royal Highland Show.
There will also be a sheep-shearing centre costing £250,000.
Other developments in the first seven-year phase include a £4m development at the rural centre.
The re-aligning of the main ring will cost £1.5m and a further £3m will be required for the construction of a new MacRobert Pavilion.
