90 before the beak after a Devon lunch

NINETY members from all over Devon converged on the Livermead House Hotel, Torquay, for their annual lunch.

This year the weather was kind and the reflection of the bright sunshine on the sea lifted all our spirits – as did contact leader Dorothy Sellick with her talk of the events planned for 1998.

One of their meetings is to be a talk on scarves, and the tying thereof, for which Dorothy pointed out that she either half-choked herself or the darn things would be falling on the floor.

She then introduced our speaker, Brian Homer JP who told us amusing aspects of his life as a magistrate.
