A new harvester market for Grimme

GRIMME is to enter the self-propelled sugar beet harvester market following its acquisition of the rights and patents for Stolls six-row sugar beet technology.

Machines will be built in Grimmes North Germany plant at Damme and the company plans to have units available in the UK for next years harvest.

Grimme UKs managing director Mike Alsop points out that his companys existing expertise in the self-propelled potato harvesting equipment will lend itself well to the production of self-propelled sugar beet machines.

"The move into the sugar beet market will give a natural synergy to the development and production of all self-propelled machines in the Grimme range," he says.

"We are currently expanding our own range of self-propelled potato harvesters in order to keep pace with grower demand." &#42
