Aerodynamic airflow without draughts

ENSURE adequate air-flow without draughts by installing an Optiflex air inlet, which can fit apertures of any length up to 2m (7ft) in existing buildings, says supplier TFS.

Suitable for many livestock houses, the sturdy plastic frames which hold aerodynamically curved hinged plastic flaps can be operated manually or by automated systems, it adds. Brush seals are said to prevent draughts and ensure air flows over the curved flap, while the curved design offers excellent air-flow patterns.

The company cuts the inlets to order and supplies them in kit form, for knocking together on site using a rubber hammer. Prices start at £45 ex-works (01572-813020, fax 01572-813263).
