Agriculture credit programmes exempted from Pakistan and India sanctions


The US Senate voted to exempt agriculture credit programmes from sanctions imposed on India and Pakistan.


More than £150m in wheat sales is at stake this year to Pakistan, including a tender for 350,000 tons. Sanctions were imposed after the two countries nuclear tests in May.
