Another model joins Renaults Ares collection

RENAULTs Ares tractor range continues to expand. The company has now introduced the 130hp Ares 640 RZ – a model which falls between the existing 630 and 710 versions launched earlier this year.

Renault points out that although the new tractor shares many common features with the rest of the Ares 600 range, the Ares 640 has been strengthened in certain areas and has an improved specification.

Power is provided by a 6.8 litre DPS engine with what Renault describes as an updated turbocharger and Stanadyne injection pump. Transmission comprises the Quadrishift four-speed change under load box to supply 32 forward and 32 reverse gears.

Both front and rear axles have been uprated – the rear to cope with the tractors 8470kg lift capacity and the front in the form of that used on the 700 range. The latter is equipped with an electro-hydraulically activated differential lock.

Price of the Ares 640 supplied with the companys RZ Hydrostable cab suspension system is listed at £54,850.

The 130hp 640RZ joins Renaults Ares tractor range.
