Milnafua Felspar took the Simmental supreme champion at this weeks Perth bull sales, pictured here with Helen Clark and breed society president, John Young. Beef producers packed the ring, evidence of the growing confidence in British beef at the event. Tuesday saw 122 Limousin bulls though the ring, achieving a record average price of £3583. Top price of the day – 8800gns – went to Matthew Jones from mid-Wales for his Bailea Lightning. The Simmentals went under the hammer on Wednesday. Full report next week. (United Auctions)
