A home-designed sheep jetter – and past winner of FW Topical Tips for Sheep Competition – is used to treat bought-in flock replacements against blowfly at Binley Farm, Tetbury, Glos. Richard and Gerald Gales jetter, which connects to the farms ATV sprayer, operates at 40-80 psi depending on fleece growth. The Gales estimate that treating replacements joining their 800-ewe flock using Crovect costs 8p/ewe.
