Horsepower beats the wet weather…This team of Shires from Banham Zoo, Norfolk, put diesel power in its place at Cultivations 2001, after hosts Bedfordia Farming ruled that anything bigger would make too much mess in the sticky conditions. Simon Brock of Swanton Morley Farms (left) gets to grips with horsepower. "I think Ill go home and buy six – theyre much more reliable than tractors and weve got plenty of cheap feed for them – its called wheat," he quipped. More from the event page 66.
