Back our campaign to save live markets

As sure as sheep are sheep and cattle are cattle, livestock prices reflect true market values only when there are plenty of bidders around a ring.

Live markets have always provided a barometer of true stock values by reflecting supply and demand.

Without marts, livestock farmers are exposed and vulnerable to price manipulation. And they are more likely to be price takers rather than price-makers.

So, please back our new campaign which aims to secure the future of live markets throughout Britain. To find out how to register your support, please turn to page 30.
