A Kent farming family has bought the bulk of the Moorsholm Farm Estate, near Brede, East Sussex. The main lot consisted of 350 acres and a four-bedroomed listed farmhouse in need of complete renovation. Nick Young, of local firm Watsons, who sold the dairy farm in conjunction with Strutt & Parker, says the sale, in seven lots, exceeded the £1.2m guide price. The remaining 150 acres were bought by adjoining and local landowners.
