ATV spray applicator joins Hardis line-up

HARDI has extended it range of specialist spraying equipment with an ATV mounted herbicide applicator.

Designed to fit standard Honda and Kawasaki models, the system is a joint development between Hardi, Monsanto and Rigby Taylor of Bolton, which is to market the machine.

Spray is applied through five jets – three centrally mounted and an angled nozzle at either end of a 1.5m (4.9ft) wide front boom – with active ingredient supplied, via a an electric pump, from a 100 litre (38.6gal) rear mounted polyethylene tank.

Controls, located on a bracket to the left of the operator, consist of a pressure gauge and independent on/off switches for the main boom and each side jet, to enable the latter to be brought into play only when required.

Nozzles are Hardi Snap Fit Triplets incorporating a non drip diaphragm check valve. A low level 30 litre (11.6gal) clean water tank and a sealed box for items such as safety clothing is located on the machines front carrier grid.

Standard specification also includes a hand lance for spot work and an amber flashing warning beacon, carried on an extension upright at the rear of the machine.

Price of the applicator system for a Honda or Kawasaki is £5495. &#42
