Borer adds depth to Makitas range

THE pedestrian operated Dolmar PD491 post hole borer extends the range of petrol driven equipment offered by Makita.

Using a 2hp two-stroke engine, the PD491 is said to be suitable for operating augers from 5-30cm (2-12in) in diameter. For deep hole boring, extension pieces of 15cm, 30cm and 45cm (6, 12 and 18in) in length are available.

Handles insulated against vibration and a lever activated throttle linkage are part of the specification of the £278 machine (01908-211678).
