Brown to unveil agrimoney package?
By FWi staff
THE government is thought to be hours away from unveiling a multi-million pound package for British farmers to offset the effect of the weak Euro.
Agriculture minister Nick Brown will make an announcement regarding his “position on agrimonetary compensation” on Thursday (2 November).
Ministry of Agriculture officials have already asked for an extension from the European Commission to an 31 October deadline to apply for compensation
Farm leaders claims that 91 million should be made available to farmers to offset fluctuations in exchange rates between Sterling and the Euro.
