BSE inquiry expected to cost £25m

THE public inquiry into bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) now looks set to cost as much as £25 million.

The Times says it is unlikely that the inquiry team will report to ministers before spring next year.

It is the second time the deadline has been missed.
