BSE team calls for US work
THE BSE inquiry starts again on Monday (June 1) with evidence to be given by government scientists and administrators.
The inquiry team will call some non-government scientists, including the American professor, Stanley Prusiner, whose work on prion diseases won him the Nobel prize for medicine last year.
This phase of the inquiry is expected to continue for two months. After a break in August, the spotlight will turn on both current and former senior government civil servants in September. *
