Busy week in the European parliament
EUROPEAN MPs are expecting a busy five days in the European parliament this week as they try to clear a big backlog of legislation.
Gerhard Schroder, the German chancellor, is due to brief parliament on the Agenda 2000 package of reforms.
The parliaments environment and agriculture committees are expected to deliver a report warning that the crisis over bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) is not over.
