Cargill to join Indian exchanges
CARGILL is to become a trading member of all the big Indian commodity exchanges.
The US trading group is a member of the Indore-based SOPA board of trade, which will soon start trading in futures in soya beans, soya oil and soya meal.
It said it was seeking the expansion to take advantage of the growing agribusiness opportunities in the country.
The Indian federal government has been encouraging futures trading in edible oils so that stronger prices can be set.
