Caribbean common market on the agenda
LEADERS of the 15-strong Caribbean Community (Caricom) are meeting at St Lucia to try to create a regional common market, which they say is necessary to protect the regions small, open economies.
They will also review the latest European Union effort to reform its banana import regime on which several island economies depend, but which has been said by the World Trade Organisation to be discriminatory.
