Cashback for FABPigs members
By FWi staff
NEARLY 2500 pig producers who were full members of the Farm Assured British Pigs assurance scheme are in line to get some of their money back.
The move follows last years incorporation of the Farm Assured British Pigs scheme into the Assured British Meat assurance scheme.
This released funds, which has enabled the annual subscription for farmers to be reduced to between 70 and 120, depending on herd size.
Former members of the FABPigs scheme will receive a 105 rebate this year when they renew their subscription to the ABM scheme.
The rebate is available to all former members of FABPigs who renew their subscriptions without a lapse in membership.
The merger of the two assurance schemes was done in an effort to reduce the number of assurance initiatives covering pig production.
