Cereals 98 the biggest yet

NEXT years Cereals Event is set to be the biggest yet. Several key companies are returning and plot numbers are up, says organiser RASE.

AgrEvo, Bayer and Monsanto are back after an absence of several years, and Novartis Seeds, ICI Fertilisers and Nu Farm who previously took trade space only are expanding their presence with crop demonstration plots. NB Seed Processors and UAP (Willmot Pertwee) are making their debut at the event.

Plots will include a new extensive display of pulse varieties for premium markets by the British Edible Pulse Association and the Processors and Growers Research Organisation.

The Velcourt area will be divided into two, one half focusing on research and the other on development work.

The latest technological advances will also be on display, including practical advice on genetically modified crops.
