Countryfile Live video: Farmers summed up in three words

Public support for farming is increasingly positive, which is vitally important, as farmers will need the backing of consumers to stay in business after Brexit, especially if subsidies are reduced.

Farmers Weekly visited the Countryfile Live event, which took place at Blenheim Palace parkland from 3-6 August, to ask visitors to describe farmers in three words.

Hard-working, dedicated, innovative, green, resilient and necessary were just some of the words the public used to praise farmers in recognition of their value to society.
