Cow shot dead through eye in sickening attack
A cow has been shot and killed in an attack police described as a “shocking act of cruelty”.
North Yorkshire Police said the cow was shot through the eye, causing fatal injuries, in a field in Dunnington on Saturday evening (14 May).
Officers from York police and North Yorkshire Police’s rural taskforce are investigating the incident.

PC Dan Kirven, of York police, said: “I would like the public and members of the local farming community to come to me or the Rural Taskforce with any information they may have that could assist us with our enquiries.”
