Creep feeding adds to calf security
CREEP-FED calves in larger Portequip shelters will be better protected from the weather and bullying by cows, claims Penrite Livestock Systems.
This 1.8m (8ft) x 1.5m (8ft) creep gives calves better protection because it is 0.6m (2ft) longer than the standard Portequip calf creep shelter. But it still features low ground clearance, full-width hinged hopper and can be fitted with tubular skids, adds Penrite.
The new model costs £640, with the skids an extra £75 (01905-795545).
