  • £1=DM2.896 / FFr9.700 / $1.635

  • French FOB spot wheat value: FFr 705 (£ 72.68)

  • Chicago July wheat at close: $2.92 (£ 65.54)

ANOTHER quiet day yesterday, with very little consumption interest in both old- and new-crop. Harvest wheat is becoming difficult to sell and ex-farm values are now around £67/70/ tonne, depending on location and variety.

South Korea announced its intention this morning to buy 104,000 t of wheat for September-November shipment. The EU could be a contender as the Koreans will buy lowest-quality feed wheat.
