over Milk Marque offer
THE dairy distribution and processing sector has hit the roof over Milk Marques new selling round.
Milk Marque has proposed a 0.7ppl increase in its varying supply contracts, which account for about two-thirds of sales.
Other contracts will see price cuts of 0.3p to 0.8p.
Jim Begg, director-general of the Dairy Industry Federation, said he was surprised by the rise.
Mr Begg said the increases were taking place at a time when the market was in decline.
