Deere predicts bleak months ahead
By FWi staff|
TRACTOR and construction giant John Deere has forecast a 3-7% slump in sales in its first quarter to the end of January due to weak demand.
However, the US company does predict that matters might improve later in 2002, reports the Financial Times.
Deere says sales of farm equipment in Europe should grow, helped by new products, better crop prices and the tapering off of the foot-and-mouth crisis.
