Devon and Cornwall organic meat network formed

ORGANIC farmers in Devon and Cornwell have established their own selling body, South-West Organic Livestock Producers, to sell their meat directly to supermarkets and other outlets.

The network of organic meat traders will enable farmers to market goods more effectively in a group, use a common brand and invest in refrigerated lorries.

A Training and Enterprise Council and Business Link campaign in the area spurred the networks formation.
