Docile Zwartbles sell

ZWARTBLES sheep, noted for prolificacy and docility, drew dedicated followers to Worcester where bidding topped at 580gns.

The bid from Solihull-based breeder M Mutteen secured a three-year-old ewe from Nancy Nashs Worcs-based Hanley Castle flock which was being dispersed for personal reasons. The ewe has a string of show wins to its name including two consecutive breed champion titles from the Royal Welsh.

Other entries from the Nashs saw several bids between 300-400gns with Mr Mutteen being the main buyer.

Entries from HM Short saw bids top 389gns for a yearling ewe which sold to P J Ball of Tenbury Wells, Worcs. (McCartneys)
