Dolly’s creators plan BSE-free GM cow
SCIENTISTS at PPL Therapeutics, the company involved in cloning Dolly the sheep, hope to develop a genetically-modified cow that will be resistant to bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).
Dr Ian Garner said there was no technological barrier to the development. PPLs facility in Virginia has already produced a cloned Holstein bull.
He was speaking at the British Association Science Festival in Cardiff.
