Drill packs punch
A CORDLESS power tool is only as good as its battery. With this in mind, Makita has introduced a cordless drill claimed to last up to five times longer than conventional battery powered drills.
The key, says Makita, is the use of a 2.2Ah Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery pack in the 14.4V Marathon 6333DWB drill. The pack offers a greater capacity than conventional rechargeable batteries and is recharged in one hour.
Weighing 2kg, the two-speed Marathon drill has a 19-position torque selector and 13mm keyless chuck. Price of the drill with two battery packs is £338. (01908-211678).
