‘Eyeless babies’ case goes to the USA

BRITISH parents of children born without eyes have been given approval to bring their claim for damages in the US courts.

All the 140 families involved say the deformity was caused because the mothers were exposed to garden fungicide sprays or crop pesticides.

These contain Benlate, manufactured by DuPont. US families have brought cases against the company for a similar condition, allegedly caused by exposure to DuPonts chemical agricultural spray.
