Farmer fined over carcasses

A LONDON-based surveyor has admitted allowing the carcasses of 29 sheep and three cattle to remain unburied on his farm in Scotland.

Steven McDicken, of Wimbledon Park, London, was fined £500 at Ayr Sheriff Court.

Mr McDicken said he had left the running of the 72.4ha (179 acre) Dalricket Mill Farm, at New Cumnock, Ayrshire, to a farmworker.
