Farmer offers online allotment

A SUFFOLK farmer has turned part of his farm into cyberspace allotments for townies who lack the space to grow their own organic vegetables.

Richard Knock, who farms at Mendlesham, cultivates the allotments for his London customers according to instructions they send him over the internet. Plot prices start at 495 a year.

Clients can log on to the website to see the weather forecast for their allotment. They can also help with cultivations.

Mr Knock will harvest the vegetables and deliver them to London the same evening.
