Farmers on alert over big cat

FARMERS in Wigtownshire have been warned to be on the lookout after the sighting of a puma-like animal.

The cat was spotted by a man crossing the Sorbie to Garlieston road and he immediately contacted the police.

He said it was about two feet in height and three feet long with a tail.
