Farmers party in alliance as Poland goes to polls

POLAND goes to the polls on Sunday. The PSL farmers party, which has formed a coalition with the Democratic Left Alliance, has gained the confidence of voters and foreign investors.

It has pressed ahead with the “rightist” macro-economic controls and economic transition policies started by the first Solidarity government.
