Farmworker stamps hawk to death

A FARMWORKER stamped a hawk to death after it strayed into a chicken run while taking part in a falconry display.

Harriet, a Harris Hawk, worth about £2000, was stamped to death in front of holidaymakers before being returned to its owner in a plastic bag “as flat as a plate”.

Dyfed Powys police has arrested the farmworker in connection with the death.
