Faster start, earlier finish with premix

GET lambs off to a faster start and finish them two weeks earlier by using a new premix recently launched by NuTec.

NuStart contains a natural gut conditioner which helps promote the lambs rumen development so increasing intake. In field trials with Texel cross Mule and Texel cross Swaledale triplet lambs, it was found to increase growth rates, reducing finishing by two weeks, says NuTecs Jill Brackenbury.

This two week reduction in finishing can mean an additional profit of £5/35kg lamb or £500/100 lambs.

It is currently available in 4mm pellets from Pye Frankland Balanced Feeds in either 25kg or bulk delivery. It typically costs less than 30p/lamb (01543-306306, fax 01546-306307).
