Firebombs at livestock haulier’s yard
By FWi staff
A MAJOR security alert was triggered early this morning after 40 firebombs were planted at a firm of livestock hauliers in Bruton, Somerset.
Police and a bomb disposal team were called after the incendiary devices were found under lorries belonging to A E George and Sons Ltd.
The first device was spotted by a driver, who noticed a small blaze under one lorry and called the fire brigade.
Fire crews from three nearby towns arrived, only to find another lorry on fire and more firebombs planted under the wheel-arches of other vehicles.
