French farmers protest over fuel costs

FRENCH farmers and hauliers are blocking blockading petrol depots and oil refineries to force a cut in the price of diesel fuel.

Last week French fishermen protesting about the high price of fuel secured a package of concessions from their government by blockading ports.

And in southern France wine producers have added to the discontent by blocking roads to complain about the import of foreign produce.
