French want Scotch back

FRANCES leading restaurateurs and chefs want Scottish beef back on their menus.

A survey of members of the Scotch Beef Club – the 120-strong group of Frances leading hotels and restaurants that sold Scotch Quality beef before the beef export ban – showed that 60% would buy the product again immediately the ban is lifted.

The survey, commissioned by the Scotch Quality Beef and Lamb Association, also revealed that 90% believed Scotch beef was a genuinely superior quality product. While the export ban meant most respondents were now sourcing the majority of their beef from France, 60% said the quality of that meat was poorer than the Scottish equivalent. &#42
