Government ‘boxed in’ over GM food


CONSUMERS will have to learn to live with genetically modified (GM) food, despite their opposition to the technology, according to a contributor in The Guardian today (Tuesday).

John Gray, a professor at the London School of Economics, says the government is boxed in by free trade agreements and is powerless to stop biotech giants putting GM foods on the market.
