Grain chaser adds to in-field productivity

ANOTHER increase in cereal field productivity offered by Horsch this season is the LOMA-designed UW 280 18t payload grain chaser.

This 28cu m volume wagon comes on the market with twin sprung axles, one with follower steering, and huge 800/45×26.5 tyres to avoid any compaction damage by the 26t gross in-field permitted weight.

Unloading performance is always the crux of successful chaser operations. The new Horsch model scores here with large-volume transport and unloading augers, a maximum grain delivery height of under 5m and a fence-striding deposit distance from the side of the wagon of up to 1.6m.

The unloading system, with hydraulically controlled bottom-trough, 450mm-diameter transporting auger and front mounted 500mm-diameter variable height unloading auger, can shift up to 8.3t/min.

Extra equipment includes electronic weighing and a recording system for the wagon. &#42
