Brussels — wheat 260,500 mts at 14.74 ecus (£10.25)


Brussels — barley 17,500 mts at 31.45 ecus — plus a one-day subsidy
for unlimited barley at 47 ecus. This has been offered in order that
shippers might clear out any port silo stocks, of which France is
estimated to have 400/500k and Scandanavia 200/400k.


Chicago finished virtually unchanged as profit takers entered the
market.


Intervention — 747,000 mts of French barley has been offered into
Intervention which compares to 844,000 mts from the UK.

  • Chicago March wheat at close: $3.38 (£73.43)
