Hanoverhill bought by British breeder
THE entire Hanoverhill herd of Holstein cattle has been bought by British breeder Simon Clarke, who runs the Scotchhills herd near Burton-on-Trent.
Hanoverhill, one of the worlds most renowned prefixes, has also been acquired by Mr Clarke.
The herd, originally to have been dispersed at auction in November, will now be split.
The younger portion of about 60 head will come to the UK early in 1998. The remaining 250-head, comprising the herds top brood cows, will remain on two farms in Ontario.
