Harry Potter deal attacked by MDC
THE Milk Development Council has criticised the makers of the forthcoming Harry Potter film for negotiating a £100m sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola.
Using a fizzy drink to promote the film Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, sent out the wrong message to children, said MDC chief executive Kevin Bellamy.
"The Harry Potter books are about inspiring children to do good things," said Mr Bellamy. "Harry is a hero to children and if children are going to emulate him, then milk would be a far better drink for him to be associated with than Coca-Cola." *
