REDUCE the danger of belly clipping cattle on-farm using a new long handled rotary clipper, says manufacturer Parke Rota-Shear.

The long reach model features a standard rotary clipper with a 76cm (30in) extended handle, which is said to allow operators to work safely while animals are kicking, especially while clipping the belly area. The machine can be driven by a compressor or electricity and is light and easy to use by novice or professional, says the company.

The long reach electric clipper costs £365, while the air drive is £450 (01780-784411, fax 01780-783065).
